Tutor Scheduler & Lesson Packs Privacy Policy
Tutor Scheduler & Lesson Packs is a local-first app for independent teachers, tutors, and coaches to manage students, lesson packs, schedules, and lesson deductions. This policy describes how the current version handles information you create and store in the app.
1. Information you may enter
Depending on how you use Tutor Scheduler & Lesson Packs, you may enter teacher or studio details, student names and contact notes, subjects and levels, lesson packs, schedules, lesson notes, homework, lesson fees, and correction records.
If you record information about students, parents, or minors, keep only what is genuinely needed for teaching and lesson administration, and obtain any consent or other lawful basis required where you operate.
2. Where data is stored and device backups
The current version does not require a Tutor Scheduler & Lesson Packs account, does not include built-in iCloud or cloud sync, and does not use a developer-operated server to receive the lesson-management data described above. Core data is stored locally in the app's storage on your Apple device.
The local database is not excluded from iOS device backups, so it will be backed up along with your own iPhone or iCloud device backup depending on your own device backup settings.
3. Whether we collect your lesson-management data
The current version does not include advertising SDKs, third-party behavioral analytics SDKs, or tracking SDKs, and it does not use a developer-operated network API to receive your student or lesson-management data. As a result, the current version does not collect that lesson-management data on the app developer's or advertising/analytics partners' servers.
4. Sharing
Tutor Scheduler & Lesson Packs gives information to iOS, LINE, or another service only when you choose a sharing action. In the English interface, lesson updates use the system Share Sheet. You choose the destination and whether to send the content. Opening a sharing destination is never treated as proof that a message was sent. After content leaves Tutor Scheduler & Lesson Packs, the system or third-party service you selected handles it under its own terms and privacy policy.
5. Clipboard
Tutor Scheduler & Lesson Packs writes lesson-update text to the clipboard only when you explicitly choose a copy action or use the visible copy fallback flow. The current version does not secretly read your clipboard in the background.
6. JSON backup and restore
You can export a JSON backup and restore from a valid backup selected with Apple's Files interface. A backup may contain teacher, student, lesson-pack, and lesson information, so choose a storage location and sharing destination you trust.
Backups you save to Files, iCloud Drive, or another third-party location are retained and deleted according to your choices and that service's rules. When restoring, Tutor Scheduler & Lesson Packs validates the backup and shows a preview before replacing current local data after your confirmation.
7. In-app purchase, restore purchases, and existing-user check
Tutor Scheduler & Lesson Packs offers a one-time, non-subscription, non-auto-renewing "Lifetime" in-app purchase, with pricing shown in your local App Store. All payments and refunds are processed by Apple; Tutor Scheduler & Lesson Packs does not access or collect any payment information such as card numbers. If Apple marks a purchase as refunded, the Lifetime version is deactivated.
To determine whether you are an existing user from version 1.0, 1.1, or 1.2 (who permanently retains free unlimited students after updating to 1.3), the app reads an Apple-signed download record from Apple, inspecting only the environment, originally downloaded version number, App ID, and Bundle ID. It does not read your Apple ID, name, or email address. This result is used only in local memory on your device and is never written to storage or uploaded. If the record temporarily cannot be read, the app will not block you or mistakenly ask for payment.
"Restore Purchases" is available on both the purchase screen and the Settings screen. It syncs with Apple only when you explicitly tap it, and may require you to enter your Apple account password.
8. Retention and deletion
Local data remains in the app's storage until you change it, replace it through a confirmed restore, erase the device or app data, or remove the app. External backups you exported and your own iPhone or iCloud device backups are not automatically deleted when app data is removed; manage those copies in Files, your device backup settings, cloud storage, or the relevant third-party service.
The current version has no Tutor Scheduler & Lesson Packs server-side user account, so there is no separate Tutor Scheduler & Lesson Packs server account dataset that you need to ask us to delete.
9. Tracking, advertising, and analytics
- The current version does not display third-party advertising.
- It does not integrate advertising-tracking SDKs.
- It does not integrate third-party behavioral analytics SDKs.
- It does not use your data to create a cross-app or cross-site advertising profile.
10. Information about minors
Tutor Scheduler & Lesson Packs is designed for teachers managing their own teaching practice; it is not a child-directed account, social, or advertising service. Teachers may still enter necessary information about minor students as part of lesson administration. Avoid recording sensitive information that is unrelated to teaching or lesson management.
11. Security
Tutor Scheduler & Lesson Packs uses a local-first design, minimizes data transmission, and uses controlled backup/restore and data-consistency checks to reduce risk. No storage method can guarantee absolute security. Protect your device with an appropriate screen lock and keep exported backups secure.
12. Policy updates
The current version now includes a one-time Apple in-app purchase ("Lifetime"), while still having no developer-operated paid backend, user accounts, cloud sync, or third-party analytics. If a future version adds accounts, cloud sync, third-party analytics, a developer-operated paid backend, or another feature that changes data handling, we will update this policy and the relevant App Store privacy disclosures to match the actual version.
